About the role
The role involves leading shifts every week to ensure customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience. Shift Managers oversee the team and other managers during a shift, ensuring quality, service, and cleanliness. They manage inventory, daily maintenance, and crew, and may be responsible for meeting targets and department goals.
Responsibilities
- Plan and monitor shifts to ensure high-quality service
- Ensure compliance with McDonald’s standards for quality, service, and cleanliness
- Communicate effectively with the next Shift Manager to prepare for their shift
- Maintain food safety protocols
- Manage inventory and daily maintenance
- Supervise crew and ensure they meet McDonald’s standards
- Help departments meet their goals
- Manage staff schedules
- Train new employees
Requirements
- Must maintain reliable and dependable attendance
- Previous leadership experience in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting is preferred
- Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible schedule and willingness to have fun
- Age 18 or older to be a manager in corporate-owned restaurants
Qualifications
Must have a reliable, dependable, and predictable attendance record. Previous leadership experience in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting is preferred. Positive team player with a flexible schedule who enjoys working in the fast-paced McDonald’s environment.
Skills
Leadership, communication, time management, customer service, and attention to detail are key skills required for this role.
