Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent is required with at least 2 years of Human Resources experience. College course work in related field helpful.
Familiarity with and knowledge of basic Human Resources.
Proficient with Windows operating systems (Word, Excel and Power point, etc).
Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
Routinely meet deadlines.
Be able to multi task.
Be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.
Have the ability to assimilate complex information, data, etc. from disparate sources and consider, adjust, or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need.
Be effective at listening to, understanding, clarifying and resolving the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests.
Be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions.
Job Responsibilities
Approach all encounters with guests and associates in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include compliance with Aimbridge Hospitality dress code.
Comply with and ensure adherence to Aimbridge Hospitality’s standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient operations.
Assist employees with internal and external transfer requests and procedures.
Monitor and assist managers/supervisors with hiring processes and issues.
Coincide and conduct applicant drug screens, reference checks, background checks, motor vehicle checks, and social security number verifications.
Maintain applicant flow, drug screen, orientation and transfer request logs.
Create and maintain new hire and personnel files and enter them into Human Resources Information Systems.
Aid with orientation of new employees.
Monitor all hiring and recruitment processes for compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and company policies and standards.
Ensure accurate maintenance of all employee records and files (e.g., interview documents, I-9's).
Support processing and maintenance of payroll records in accordance with policies and procedures, as necessary.
Inform Human Resources management of issues related to employee relations within the division or property.
Create and maintain filing systems.
Generate Human Resources data reports as necessary.
