Responsibilities
The Sheetmetal Foreman / Lead Mechanic performs the installation and repair by performing various duties in commercial or public buildings. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing hands-on leadership to the field crews and ensuring that jobs are completed on schedule
- Providing direction and supervision to Lead Mechanics, Mechanics, and Apprentices
- Fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal products associated with commercial HVAC equipment and related mechanical systems
- Communicating with and scheduling subcontractors working on site
- Ensuring job quality and customer satisfaction are maintained at every project stage
Qualifications
Candidates must meet the following qualifications:
- Five years of experience in the Sheet Metal field for Lead Mechanic, eight years for Foremen
- Able to read and interpret drawings and P&ID schematics
- Able to work independently and as a team member
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Essential hand tools expected for trade
- Dependable and a team player
- Able to pass a post-offer pre-employment drug screen and may be required to satisfactorily complete additional background checks

- Demonstrate proper and safe use of tools and related equipment

Pay
The wage range is $16 - $37 an hour
Schedule
Depending on the position, individuals may need to ride or drive in a vehicle for two or more hours. Individuals working at an outside job site may be exposed to varying temperatures and all weather conditions.
