Responsibilities

The Sheetmetal Foreman / Lead Mechanic performs the installation and repair by performing various duties in commercial or public buildings. Key responsibilities include:

• Providing hands-on leadership to the field crews and ensuring that jobs are completed on schedule
• Providing direction and supervision to Lead Mechanics, Mechanics, and Apprentices
• Fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal products associated with commercial HVAC equipment and related mechanical systems
• Communicating with and scheduling subcontractors working on site
• Ensuring job quality and customer satisfaction are maintained at every project stage

Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Five years of experience in the Sheet Metal field for Lead Mechanic, eight years for Foremen
• Able to read and interpret drawings and P&ID schematics
• Able to work independently and as a team member
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Essential hand tools expected for trade
• Dependable and a team player
• Able to pass a post-offer pre-employment drug screen and may be required to satisfactorily complete additional background checks

Pay

The wage range is $16 - $37 an hour

Schedule

Depending on the position, individuals may need to ride or drive in a vehicle for two or more hours. Individuals working at an outside job site may be exposed to varying temperatures and all weather conditions.
