SharePoint Administrator III
Your Role
The SharePoint Administrator III serves as a senior technical subject matter expert for all SharePoint and Microsoft 365 collaboration platforms. This role leads complex implementations, drives governance and architecture decisions, mentors junior staff, and partners with stakeholders across the organization to align the SharePoint environment with business strategy.
- Design, architect, and oversee the organization's SharePoint Online and hybrid SharePoint environments
- Lead migrations, platform upgrades, and major configuration changes, including planning, testing, and execution
- Develop and enforce governance frameworks, information architecture standards, and security policies
- Build custom solutions using Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI) integrated with SharePoint
- Automate administrative tasks and reporting using PowerShell scripting
- Serve as escalation point for Tier 3 SharePoint support issues
- Evaluate new Microsoft 365 features and roadmap items, providing recommendations for adoption
- Mentor and guide Level I/II SharePoint administrators
- Collaborate with IT leadership, project managers, and business units to gather requirements and deliver solutions
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements
What You’ll Do

Required
- 5+ years of SharePoint administration experience
- Expert-level knowledge of SharePoint Online, SharePoint Server, and Microsoft 365 ecosystem
- Strong experience with PowerShell scripting for SharePoint and M365 administration
- Demonstrated experience with Power Platform development and integration
- Deep understanding of SharePoint governance, information architecture, and security models
- Experience with SharePoint migration projects and tools (ShareGate, AvePoint, Metalogix, etc.)
- Azure AD / Entra ID administration experience
PREFERRED
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert, Team Administrator Associate, or SharePoint-specific certification
- Experience with Azure services (Azure Functions, Logic Apps) in context of M365 integrations
- Familiarity with ITIL or change management frameworks
- Cloud +Power BI MS Certified Power Platform Administrator
- Prior experience in a regulated industry (healthcare, energy, government)
