SharePoint Administrator
About the role
The Enterprise SharePoint Administrator is responsible for the architecture, administration, maintenance, and governance of the organization’s SharePoint environments. This role ensures high availability, performance, security, and usability of SharePoint Online and related Microsoft 365 collaboration platforms. The administrator partners closely with infrastructure, security, and application teams to deliver a scalable and well-governed digital workplace experience.
Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and administer SharePoint Online environments, including sites, site collections, permissions, workflows, and integrations.
- Implement and maintain governance policies around site provisioning, content management, security, retention, and lifecycle management.
- Manage and monitor SharePoint system health, performance, and capacity using Microsoft 365 admin tools, logs, and analytics.
- Support content migrations, site restructuring, and modernization initiatives using approved tools and best practices.
- Administer Microsoft Teams, OneDrive for Business, and related M365 collaboration services with a focus on alignment and integration with SharePoint.
- Manage user permissions, groups, and roles in accordance with organizational security policies.
- Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance, data protection, and incident response readiness.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex SharePoint and M365-related technical issues.
- Provide guidance and training to site owners, power users, and business stakeholders on best practices and effective use of the platform.
- Research and recommend improvements, automation opportunities, and new features within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
Requirements
Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate, Collaboration Communications Administrator, or equivalent certifications.
Experience with SharePoint migration tools such as SharePoint Migration Tool (SPMT), ShareGate, or Mover.
Familiarity with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse) development and governance.
Experience with enterprise identity, security, and compliance features in Microsoft 365.
Qualifications
At least a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in SharePoint administration and Microsoft 365.
Skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Pay
Salary up to $80,000 based on education and experience.
Schedule
Full time, 40-hour per week position.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Office-based work involving extensive computer and phone use.
- Requires long periods of sitting, up to eight hours a day.
- Occasional travel may be required.
Work environment is generally quiet.
