About the role
The Sewage Enforcement Officer (SEO) is responsible for enforcing local, state, and federal regulations regarding sewage systems and waste management.
Responsibilities
- Inspect sewage systems to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Issue citations and warnings to property owners who violate sewage regulations.
- Conduct investigations into sewage-related complaints and issues.
- Provide technical assistance to community members on proper sewage system maintenance.
- Prepare reports and documentation related to inspections and enforcement activities.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar field.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
- Experience with public speaking and community outreach.
Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Proficiency in computer software, particularly GIS and data analysis tools.

Pay
$30-$35 per hour based on experience.
Schedule
