ServiceNow Platform Developer
About the role
Farm Credit Mid-America is seeking a skilled individual to join our team primarily working in the ServiceNow platform and ecosystem. The primary responsibilities include design and development of solutions, technical and systems design expertise, and providing support and maintenance of internal and vendor software applications.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop solutions in the ServiceNow platform.
- Provide technical and systems design expertise to assist in the development, implementation, review, and upgrade of third-party, Platform as a Service (Paas), or Software as a Service (Saas) solutions.
- Proactively suggest improvements in product development, new services, and technologies or enhancements to existing systems/configurations to improve service to customers.
- Create and manage integrations with PaaS/SaaS applications.
- Lend development and systems expertise to Software Systems Engineers in the daily support and maintenance of internal, vended software applications, and conduct long-term improvement operations to ensure compatibility with evolving mission requirements.
- Provide estimates on project requests and timely delivery based on the estimates.
- Promote code through development environments using an automated deployment tool.
- Use backup and seeding tools to create automated backups and allow for creating ad-hoc development environments.
- Actively participate in assigned team projects fulfilling task assignments, meeting deadlines, and proactively seek attainment of team goals.
- Keep technical skills up to date to provide most efficient support to end users.
- Promote Agile practices such as TDD, Continuous Integration, paired programming, scrum, and cross-functional development within the team.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED and four years of relevant experience OR Associate's Degree in computer science, business or related field and two years of relevant experience.
- Two+ years of direct experience working with the ServiceNow Platform preferred.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) preferred.
- ITIL 4 Foundations or ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – IT Service Management (CIS-ITSM) preferred.
Qualifications
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
- Experience with version control systems like Git.
- Knowledge of SQL and database management.
Skills
- Proficiency in ServiceNow Platform.
- Experience with third-party PaaS/SaaS applications.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and practices.
- Good knowledge of ITIL 4 or CIS-ITSM.

Pay
The salary range for this position is estimated to be $82,497.00 – $178,402.00 annualized, reflecting the company’s current estimate of the potential compensation range at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, education, qualifications, and allotted budget.
Schedule
This role is full-time with occasional travel required (0% - 25%).
