About the Opportunity

This ServiceNow Administrator role supports a US Navy environment by managing hosting platforms for Navy, DoD, and Homeland Security applications. The position is responsible for administering ServiceNow IT Asset Management (ITAM), IT Operations Management (ITOM), and related capabilities to ensure effective tracking and management of purchase orders, contracts, assets, and IT operations processes. The role contributes by maintaining system integrity, facilitating process improvements, and acting as a technical liaison to support operational efficiency. The position requires full-time support through September 30, 2026, transitioning to part-time in the following fiscal year.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain ServiceNow ITAM, ITOM, Service Catalog, and related platform capabilities.
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for ITAM and catalog processes.
• Conduct cross-training sessions to establish in-house ITAM administration knowledge.
• Support purchase order and contract tracking including record management and reporting.
• Create, configure, test, and maintain catalog items and related workflows.
• Manage hardware and software asset records through their lifecycle.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to document requirements and recommend ServiceNow solutions.
• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and administrative documentation.
• Troubleshoot incidents and resolve platform or data issues.
• Serve as technical liaison between customer and core ServiceNow engineering team.
• Maintain and validate CMDB and ITOM-related records.
• Analyze data to identify gaps, duplicates, and reconciliation issues.
• Support service owners with data reviews and operational reporting.
• Assist with ITOM process documentation, user support, and change coordination.
• Review workflows and recommend process improvements.
• Depending on requirements, configure and support ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping.
• Coordinate with platform team for infrastructure needs such as MID Server deployment.
• Develop automation to streamline ITOM processes using out-of-the-box capabilities.
• Design and maintain identification and reconciliation rules and data sources.
• Support technical design reviews, release planning, testing, and security hardening for ITOM solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, MIS, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Minimum three years of ServiceNow administration or implementation experience with ITAM, ITOM, CMDB, Service Catalog, or Asset Management.
• Knowledge of ServiceNow data models, roles, access controls, workflows, reporting, and platform administration.
• SME-level experience with ServiceNow Hardware and Software Asset Management workflows.
• Ability to gather requirements, analyze data, troubleshoot, and communicate with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Preferred engineering experience with Discovery, Service Mapping, MID Servers, integrations, scripting, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, APIs, and CMDB identification and reconciliation.
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification required; additional ITAM, ITOM, CMDB, Discovery, or Service Mapping certifications are a plus.
• Must hold DoD 8140 IAT Level II baseline certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+).
• Active Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance required.
