Job Summary
The Legal Office Support role helps keep the organization running smoothly behind the scenes by supporting Legal, Risk Management, and Compliance teams. In this role, you’ll assist with document management, tracking important deadlines, coordinating projects, and helping ensure the organization meets legal and regulatory requirements. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys organized, detail-focused work and is interested in learning more about legal, compliance, or healthcare operations.

This is a detail-driven role, where accuracy really matters—small mistakes can impact legal or compliance processes. You’ll often work on multiple projects at once, shifting between tasks like document preparation, tracking deadlines, and supporting audits. Much of the work happens behind the scenes, but it directly supports important decisions and protects the organization. You’ll regularly handle sensitive and confidential information, so discretion and professionalism are essential. Some tasks are routine and structured, while others may be deadline-driven or time-sensitive. There are busy periods, especially during audits, compliance reporting cycles, or major projects.
Responsibilities
- Support Legal, Risk, and Compliance teams with day-to-day administrative tasks
- Prepare documents, reports, and presentations using templates
- Organize and maintain electronic and physical files
- Track contracts, deadlines, and document requests
- Aid in compliance training tracking and surveys
- Help maintain records for audits, regulatory requirements, and internal programs
- Support incident tracking, reporting, and documentation
- Auxiliary with meetings, presentations, and department projects
- Maintain tracking systems and databases used by the department
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
- MD Resident: Individuals eligible for the Maryland Service Year Program (generally ages 18–24)
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience in an office, administrative, legal, compliance, or healthcare setting preferred

- Strong organization and attention to detail
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Interest in legal, risk, compliance, or ethics-related work
