About the role

Conduct Lexus technical training classes throughout the Lexus Eastern Area, including on-site in Parsippany, NJ, and at remote training locations throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. Support technical training class scheduling, classroom and facility preparation, and post-class completion activities. Identify class demand based on technician skill-level guidelines, dealer needs, and Certification by Lexus requirements. Consult with Lexus dealers to identify technicians with training needs and support technician development. Maintain a thorough understanding of all course content to deliver it effectively. Maintain the Technical Training Center, including its training fleet, tools, equipment, and facilities, to support technicians attending training on-site or at remote locations. Support and participate in technical training study teams to develop new and redesign existing Lexus technical courses. Stay current on new Lexus vehicles, technologies, diagnostic procedures, repair information, service tools, and systems. Ensure all training and shop activities follow standard safety procedures. Support Lexus Eastern Area regional initiatives, including quality initiatives, auto show displays, SkillsUSA events, T-TEN schools and prospective students, company meetings and summits, and training for internal personnel and business partners. Support the advancement of service technology at Lexus dealerships through Monogram Service and Video Multipoint Inspections, as needed.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of automotive technology and the ability to understand and communicate technical training content
  • Ability to adapt instruction for participants with different experience and skill levels
  • Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience in automotive repair and technical instruction
  • Ability to perform hands-on automotive demonstrations and work safely in a shop or laboratory environment
  • Familiarity with hybrid vehicles, battery electric vehicles, and vehicle diagnostic technologies such as Oscilloscope, NVH, pressure transducer, and Mega/Milli Ohm Meters
  • ASE certifications A1–A8
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time, and up to 50% based on business needs
  • Ability to meet company driving and motor vehicle record requirements

Qualifications

  • Advanced ASE certifications, including L1, L3, L4, xEV Level 1, and xEV Level 2
  • A bachelor’s degree
  • Experience facilitating technical training or instructor-led learning

Pay

The annual base salary range for this position is $110,100.00 – $178,900.00.
