Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Loads and/or unloads drums and containers from trucks; processes and/or stores hazardous waste materials.
- Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times.
- Weighs and breaks down large containers into smaller containers for processing.
- Completes inspections and mechanical placement of drums on conveyor and completes the manual placement of buckets from pallet to carriage.
- Drives forklift to retrieve drums and containers from storage and operates computer and conveyor.
- Transports and positions trailers and tankers for collection of slag and ash.
- Pumps liquid out of containers and transfers material from tank using a centrifugal pump.
- Maintains a clean work area and completes basic housekeeping tasks.
- Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization.
Qualifications
- High-school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Previous experience operating a fork truck (preferred).
- HAZWOPER certificate or previous fire-fighting experience (preferred).

Physical Demands
This position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and may require standing for extended periods of time. The position may involve exposure to hazardous materials and extreme temperatures.
