Maintenance Technician I
About the role
Richman Property Services, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. We strive to provide high-quality apartment communities that our residents are proud to call home.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily repair and upkeep of the property
- Prepare vacant units for occupancy within established deadlines
- Manage service requests and ensure timely completion
- Maintain compliance with OSHA standards and The Clean Air Act
- Oversee inventory and care of tools and equipment
- Complete required tasks such as training, logs, and reports in a timely manner
- Uphold company policies and provide exceptional customer service
- Solicit educational opportunities for personal growth and development
- Aid in property preventative maintenance plan
- Maintain curb appeal and cleanliness of buildings and grounds
- Perform on-call duties and occasional overtime
Requirements
- Two or more years of maintenance experience in a residential community environment
- EPA I & II or EPA Universal
- Experience with Yardi property management software products
- A valid Driver's License
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; industry-related courses preferred
- Minimum of two (2) years of maintenance and general repair experience or Groundskeeper
- Proficiency in maintenance tasks, including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, etc.
- Must own basic tools as allowed by state laws
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws, including Fair Housing Laws
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
Skills & Certifications
- EPA Section 608 Type I and II or Universal Technician license, strongly preferred
- Valid Driver's License required
- Proficient in English for communication and record-keeping purposes
