Maintenance Technician I

Responsibilities

• Conducting preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Supporting instrumentation and control devices.
• Upkeep of building infrastructure, grounds, and utilities.
• Monitoring and documenting routine testing for boilers, cooling water, and other critical systems.
• Maintaining facility interiors, exteriors, and grounds.
• Supporting inventory management of parts and tools.
• Maintaining maintenance areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Preparing maintenance plans, documentation, and compliance requirements.
• Contributing to continuous improvement by identifying equipment or process enhancements.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum five years of overall mechanical maintenance experience.
• Experience in general industrial plumbing, general industrial electrical, instrumentation & controls, basic HVAC, welding, and boiler operation & upkeep.
• Confined space entry experience (or at least general knowledge) is highly preferred.
• General computer skills including e-mail and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with computer based maintenance tracking software such as Maintenance Connection is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret work orders, blueprints, SOPs, work instructions, etc.
• Excellent organizational skills.
