About the role
Greystar is a leading real estate platform offering property management, investment management, development, and construction services in institutional-quality rental housing. The Service Supervisor role is responsible for overseeing and completing various maintenance tasks to ensure the cleanliness and appearance of the community.
Responsibilities
- Completes work orders and routine upkeep on the community
- Oversees the “make-ready” process for vacant units
- Maintains standards for cleanliness and appearance of the community
- Inspects work performed by other team members and contractors
- Maintains inventory of spare parts and supplies
- Completes preventative maintenance tasks
- Supports cost-cutting initiatives
- Conducts safety meetings and ensures compliance with regulations
- Treats residents and others with respect and responds to maintenance requests efficiently
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in property management maintenance, other building maintenance, or related trades
- Knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, and equipment
- Ability to apply logical thinking to solve problems
- Effective customer service and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating to represent company management
- Mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers
- EPA certifications Type I and II or Universal (if required)
- Valid driver's license (if applicable)
Specialized Skills
- EPA certifications Type I and II or Universal (if required)
- All certifications as required by State and Local jurisdictions
- Valid driver's license (if applicable)
Physical Demands
- Standing, walking, sitting for extended periods
- Bending, stooping, climbing ladders, reaching, carrying objects, crawling in confined areas
- Working inside and outside in all weather conditions
- Pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, or maneuvering weights up to 25 pounds independently and 50 pounds with assistance
- Flexible work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Additional Compensation
Base salary, quarterly or annual bonuses, depending on individual and company performance. Onsite property positions may also be eligible for weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly bonuses.
