Summary

The Component Rebuild Center (CRC) Manager oversees facilities, buildings, and issues associated with the local area. This role includes directing and controlling the service department to ensure an efficient and profitable operation, focusing on customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction, safety, profitability, and overall performance.

Essential Functions

  • Service Responsibilities: Develops, monitors, and manages annual budgets and objectives for Parts & Service. Ensures quality repair work and superior customer satisfaction. Timely resolution of customer complaints and disputes. Administers service policy and warranty. Supervises and evaluates service employees and staff work performance.

  • Employee Satisfaction: Responsible for the harmony and safe working conditions of the department. Facilitates and motivates employees, ensuring they have a voice and feel supported. Assists with Leader Standard Work for department leadership.

  • Service Facilities: Manages the day-to-day operations and management of the physical service facility/buildings. Maintains and repairs all structures and systems. Works closely with the Facility Manager to resolve problems. Oversees capital budgets and construction projects.

  • Leadership: Works closely with other managers to address issues and concerns. Facilitates daily SQDC meetings and updates materials. Conducts problem-solving activities and implements countermeasures. Identifies and assists with Leader Standard Work for department leadership.

  • Continuous Improvement: Implements and manages change, championing lean philosophies. Performs effective business judgment and critical thinking. Has a systemic perspective of the branch's core business.

  • Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has supervisory responsibilities. Employees should feel they have a voice and the chance to advance within the company.

Qualifications

  • Education and Experience: Four-year BA/BS degree in business management with 6 years similar experience and 2 years management/supervisor experience; or two-year technical school graduate with 8 years similar experience and 3 years as a Group Leader; or high school graduate with 10 years mechanical experience and 4 years as a Group Leader. Hands-on experience is strongly preferred.

  • Skills: Self-directed, service-oriented individual with technical aptitudes, self-motivated, well-organized, mature, and sound business sense. Good customer relations are essential.

  • Computer Skills: Intermediate PC skills (DBSi, Microsoft Word/Outlook/Excel).

Workplace Requirements

  • Physical Demands: Regularly stands, walks, uses hands, reaches, talks, hears, lifts, carries, pushes, pulls, sits, and adjusts focus. Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, high/precarious places, fumes, airborne particles, outside weather conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock.
