About the role
A well-established commercial roofing contractor is seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead and grow its roofing service and repair operations across the Massachusetts market. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day service activities, managing field crews, maintaining customer relationships, and driving revenue through proactive maintenance, repairs, and small project work.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations for roofing service and repair work, including leak investigations, maintenance, and warranty service
- Manage and schedule service crews, dispatching work efficiently to meet customer needs
- Serve as the primary point of contact for service customers, ensuring timely communication and follow-up
- Review service proposals, pricing, and scope of work to ensure accuracy and profitability
- Support estimating of service work, repairs, and small reroof projects as needed
- Monitor job costs, labor utilization, and service department performance metrics
- Coordinate materials, equipment, and subcontractors for service projects
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, company procedures, and quality expectations
- Resolve field issues and customer concerns quickly and professionally
- Assist with service department growth through customer retention and new service opportunities
- Maintain service documentation, reports, and closeout records
Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial roofing service, repairs, and maintenance
- Prior experience leading service crews, foremen, or field operations
- Strong understanding of low-slope roofing systems, leak diagnostics, and repair methods
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and work orders
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to manage multiple service requests at once
- Proficient with scheduling tools, job tracking systems, and Microsoft Office
- OSHA knowledge required; OSHA 30 preferred

Pay
$100,000–$120,000 (based on experience)
Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
