Service Manager

Serve as a working Service Manager, spending 80%+ of the time performing hands-on equipment maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs while leading the service team.
Manage the shop and field service mechanics, ensuring maintenance, repair, and availability of equipment as needed.
Delegate and direct service tasks to technicians while actively participating in repair work and monitoring progress.
Lead continuous improvement efforts across all service performance metrics.
Exhibit engaged leadership through behavioral coaching, mentorship, and leading by example.
Qualifications
- Previous hands-on service, maintenance, and repair experience with construction equipment required.
- Ability and willingness to perform physical, hands-on mechanical work for the majority of the workday (80%+).
- 2-4 years of management, lead technician, foreman, or service leadership experience within the construction equipment rental industry preferred.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills, with the ability to work independently.
- Safe working knowledge of shop tools and equipment.
