Service Line Coordinator (Assistant Nurse Manager), Operating Room

About the role

The main VHC Health Operating Room Department currently has 19 operating room suites, adding one more OR suite soon. This team provides care to surgical patients of any age. As a level II trauma hospital, the main operating room performs cutting edge procedures in various surgical specialties.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates proposed procedural changes as they relate to patient care, directs / supervises the implementation and ensures compliance with Standards of Nursing Practice that promote optimum health care delivery.
• Develops patient care services goals, objectives, standards of performance, policies and procedures; organizes the department in accordance with the hospital's mission and vision statements in order to provide specified nursing services to meet the legal, organizational and medical staff guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing is required. Master's degree in nursing is preferred.
• Two years of healthcare/medical - nursing/patient care is required. Two years of demonstrated leadership ability is preferred.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Virginia Department of Health Professions is required.
• BLS certification is required.

Pay

No portion of compensation is considered earned until it is vested and determined in accordance with the terms of applicable policies and benefit plans. Schedule

Evenings, 230pm - 1100pm, Monday - Friday.
