Operating Room Service Coordinator (RN)

About the role

Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a full-time RN Service Coordinator to join our Operating Room ENT Service Line.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate service specialty lines in the OR, collaborating with surgeons, staff members, vendors, and other departments to meet case needs.
• Facilitate case flow, maintain preference cards, order supplies, and review schedules.
• Work with OR Sterile and OR Supply departments to verify availability of all required equipment and supplies for procedures.
• Mentor Perioperative Services staff, providing education and training on equipment, supplies, and processes related to each service specialty line.
• Serve as the service line subject matter expert, contributing to the development of policies for new procedures, selection of new equipment, and implementation of relevant service line changes.
• Identify and resolve service line issues.
• Act as the primary surgeon interface for the designated specialty.
• Collaborate with vendors to ensure case needs are met in accordance with hospital Vendor policy.
• Lead department initiatives, modeling positive behaviors, effective communication, and professionalism.
• Support and uphold the hospital’s mission, vision, and values.
• Ensure clinical excellence, personal accountability, strategic vision, process improvement, and team leadership.
• Maintain and support the organization’s ‘Always Behaviors.’
