About the role
The Service Coordinator is one of the primary contacts and liaisons between the Strictly Mechanical service department, construction department, and the customer. This role requires impeccable customer service skills and the ability to effectively communicate with other departments and customers.
Responsibilities
- Keep an organized daily schedule indicating where the service technicians are assigned.
- Dispatch technicians to new jobs once their current job is completed.
- Take phone calls from technicians and redirect them to the appropriate person.
- Answer all incoming calls for the service department and redirect them as needed.
- Effectively communicate with the construction department to schedule service technicians on jobsites.
- Receive and process service department paperwork relevant to the role.
- Create appointments in Acumatica, generate purchase orders, and process purchase order markups as directed by the service manager.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED).
- 3 – 5 years of customer service experience (REQUIRED).
- 2 – 4 years of dispatching experience (REQUIRED).
- 2 – 4 years of coordinating employee schedules (REQUIRED).
- Previous experience in HVAC is highly desirable but not required.
- Experience with Acumatica ERP is a bonus.
This is a high-energy role requiring comfort with handling multiple phone calls daily from vendors, technicians, and customers, as well as prolonged computer use and navigating various departments at the main office.
