Responsibilities
- Coordinate checkout flow, maintain front-end cleanliness and standards, and assign work for cashiers, service desk, and courtesy team members to meet productivity and service expectations.
- Drive strong customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and accountability for front-end performance through active coaching, labor utilization, and customer issue resolution.
- Communicate effectively with peer leadership for smooth handoff between shifts.
- Perform survival walk of the department and shift-to-shift hand-off when the team leader or area leader is not present.
- Coordinate and drive actions and activities involving the monitoring and control of shrink and financial business outcomes within areas of responsibility.
- Proactively escalate concerns to leadership as they arise.
- Champion participation in community programs.
- Lead by example with behaviors and team member resource group (TMRG) engagement.
- Serve as a certified trainer for team members in their span of care.
- Perform on-the-job/hands-on team member training and mentoring.
- Serve as subject matter expert for market programs, company pilots, and development/training programs.
- Assign tasks to team members within the department, in partnership with the team leader, and follow up to ensure task completion.
Qualifications
- Successful completion of the Service Coordinator training curriculum (includes curriculums for Cashier, Service Desk, and Courtesy Team).
- Ability to operate cash register system and all financial services equipment.
- Good communication skills, friendly, customer oriented, organized, detail oriented, sense of urgency.
- Has organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
- This position may require lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, squatting, stooping, kneeling and/or climbing. The amount of weight or frequency of such activities may vary depending on a team member’s shift during the day, the day of the week, the month or season, and/or other staff on duty.
