Service Administrator/Field Dispatcher

We’re looking for a Service Administrator/Field Dispatcher to be the vital link between our customers and our Service Department. What You’ll Do

• Handles phone calls, advises customers of technical problems, schedules customer service needs, plans assigned jobs to work orders containing job information and specifies job instruction, identifies customers and machines
• Assists in the appraisal and quotes of repair work coming into the shop and discusses with service manager the service required, both in parts and labor
• Assists in scheduling shop assignments, field service work, and truck requirements for pickup and delivery of equipment
• Assists in establishing or adjusting work procedures to meet schedules and deadlines
• Assists in opening and closing of work orders to ensure timely closing to meet personal and company goals
• Supervises all shop activities when Service Managers is away from the branch

What You'll Bring To The Table

• A High School diploma
• Bilingual English-Spanish a plus
• Compact and heavy equipment experience or two years of mechanical experience as a service technician, heavy equipment industry or similar experience
• Intermediate computer skills and familiarity with Windows applications
• Willingness and ability to quickly learn software systems
• Ability to interpret a variety of instruction either written, oral, diagram or schedule form

Physical demands

• Able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer and telephone
• Must be willing and able to work outside on occasion with walking, bending, squatting, crouching, and reaching as required
