Field Service Dispatcher

Job Purpose

A Herc Field Service Dispatcher is directly involved in addressing equipment breakdowns in the field, coordinating activities of field mechanics, maintaining data on service calls, communicating with internal and external customers, inventory control, ensuring equipment is serviced at regular intervals, and daily business reporting for multiple locations.

Requirements

• High school or GED required
• Proven track record with a minimum 3-5 years of experience within the heavy equipment and/or construction markets preferred
• Computer skills to support entering information into systems
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel programs
• Must have good data entry skills
• Must have strong understanding of the logistics pertaining to the market and heavy equipment movement knowledge
• Prior Dispatch experience required
• Ability to effectively work on multiple assignments in the fast-paced environment of the construction industry
