Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional dining service by taking accurate food orders and serving meals to residents, family members, and guests.
- Uphold high standards of table etiquette and assist with meal and menu selections.
- Engage with residents in a friendly and courteous manner, addressing their dining needs.
- Track resident meal attendance and communicate with team members for safety checks.
- Create a welcoming atmosphere by greeting and seating residents promptly.
- Deliver meals to and retrieve trays from residents' rooms, as required.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary dining area, setting up and resetting tables, and managing supplies.
- Aid in community marketing efforts through positive interactions and following grooming standards.
- Assist with other kitchen and dining services to ensure a positive dining experience.
- Promptly report any safety or equipment issues to the Supervisor.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment, complying with safety standards and policies.
- Understand and comply with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Lead with a spirit of teamwork and open communication through consistent mentoring, coaching, and recognition programs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED), highly preferred.
- Exposure to restaurant operations or the ability to learn.
- Must be 18 years or older or have proper work permit and authorization documentation.
- Complete required Background clearances, health screening, and provide negative TB test results within 7 days of employment (must be within the last 6 months).
- Basic counting skills as required by the position.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to speak, write, understand, and read English.
- Ability to operate standard serving equipment and deal tactfully and professionally with personnel, residents, family members, guests, vendors, and the public.
- Meet and maintain all state-specific regulatory requirements, such as Food Handler Certification.
Qualifications
- Must not be an “Excluded Party” as defined by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, any state Medicaid Programs, and any additional federal and state government contract programs.
- Continually comply with laws and regulations that impact the company, including but not limited to state licensing regulations, HIPAA, Resident Rights, and professional licenses.
