Server (Otto's Ice House at Pearl)

About the role

As a Server you are hard‑working and friendly, taking pride in ensuring customer satisfaction through prompt and efficient service. You are an expert on the menu and use your knowledge, positive attitude, and excellent communication skills to create a personalized experience for each guest.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a thorough understanding of all menu items and answer questions regarding items and their preparation.
• Deliver an exceptional dining experience by promptly and accurately taking orders, maintaining drink levels, checking on guests, and keeping tables clear of unused items.
• Foster and maintain a favorable working relationship with all other staff members.
• Operate the POS system, including processing credit and cash transactions.
• Adhere to alcohol awareness procedures to prevent intoxication and comply with legal regulations.
• Ensure food consistently meets the company’s high standards of excellence on your section and others as needed.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe dining environment.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must have a TABC and Food Handlers certification before employment begins.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Punctual and reliable attendance.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in a high‑volume establishment.
• Effective time‑management skills.
• Well‑groomed and professionally dressed, following uniform standards.
• Positive and professional attitude in every aspect of the position.
• POS (cash register) and credit/debit card processing skills.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry items up to 50 lb, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions during shifts.
