Server (Bistro)

About the role

The Bistro Server serves meals to Plymouth Place residents in a restaurant-style atmosphere, ensuring efficient service and appetizing food presentation. This is a full-time position with a shift from 5:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., including required weekends.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently serve food and beverages to tables for restaurant-style service.
• Handle all service ware correctly and provide accurate information about meals, including offering suggestions and answering questions.
• Observe diners to fulfill additional requests and determine when meals are completed.
• Remove dishes during and after meals to maintain sanitation standards.
• Wash and set up tables according to etiquette rules, including clean linen, silverware, glassware, chairs, and condiments.
• Restock supplies as needed prior to the next meal service.
• Initiate cross-training in hosting and serving to improve skills and support team flexibility.
• Complete all side work before, during, and after meal service efficiently.
• Clean and sanitize department storage, refrigeration/freezer, equipment, utensils, and waste containers as assigned.
• Participate in daily catering set-up, execution, and clean-up.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Reliable means of transportation.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English sufficient to perform job duties and interact with residents, families, and employees.

Skills

• Ability to provide service in an accurate and timely manner.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multitasking.
