About the role

The successful Server delivers exceptional hospitality while serving food and beverages, ensuring guest and coworker satisfaction, and maintaining safety and knowledge of the vessel and skyline.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional hospitality to guests and coworkers following the RESPECT service system.
  • Greet guests and serve food and beverages in a timely manner.
  • Accurately take orders and enter them into the point-of-sale system.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of all common areas and service stations.
  • Participate in the guest experience by contributing to celebrations and entertainment.
  • Set up and break down dining rooms and service stations, including moving furniture.
  • Accurately collect payment from guests for on-board purchases.
  • Provide guests with information on menu items, service order, entertainment options, cruise route, and points of interest.
  • Begin work at the scheduled time and maintain uniform and personal grooming per appearance standards.
  • Assist with greeting and seating guests upon arrival.
  • Perform additional job duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One (1) year of experience in a high-volume restaurant preferred.
  • Able to work extended periods without sitting.
  • Required to lift furniture and heavy items (e.g., dishes) up and down stairs.
  • Must meet minimum state age requirements.
  • Strong customer service, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks or projects simultaneously.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Listen effectively, assess situations, identify relevant issues, and suggest solutions.
  • Working knowledge of computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Able to effectively convey written and verbal information to coworkers and guests.
  • Maintain uniform and personal grooming in compliance with appearance standards.
  • Available to work nights, weekends, and all major holidays.
