About the Role

HomeGrown is a daytime eatery focused on serving scratch-made, locally inspired dishes and craveable drinks. As a Server (Front of House Team Member), you will act as an experience maker for guests, providing attentive service, anticipating needs, building relationships, and making every guest feel special. This role also involves supporting teammates to ensure all guests are cared for at the highest level. Responsibilities

• Communicate with servers, hosts, bussers, bartenders, expos, and management to ensure tables are updated in the seating system and readily available for guests.
• Maintain the seating system and waitlist.
• Answer the phone.
• Provide exceptionally kind service for all dine-in and takeout guests.
• Pre-bus tables in the dining room and bus/clean tables inside the restaurant and on the patio.
• Help clean the bar top as needed.
• Replace sanitizer in spray bottles and buckets to ensure safety and sanitation.
• Clean, disinfect, and sanitize work areas before, during, and after shifts.
• Stock glassware, water bottles, plate ware, silverware, dishes, and other items as needed.
• Complete assigned daily and weekly cleaning projects.
• Run food to tables in the dining room and patio.
• Complete sidework and closing duties as assigned per shift.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Positive attitude and desire to learn and grow.
• Ability to focus on several tasks at once.
• Friendly and upbeat personality.
• Ability to use a touch screen tablet for order taking and payment processing.
• Able to place plates, utensils, pans, and cases on high and low shelves.
• Reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow directions exactly as expected.
• Ability to work fast, safely, efficiently, and accurately for periods of up to 10 hours per day.
• Attention to detail.
• Mobility required during the entire shift.
• Ability to carry bus tubs full of dishes and miscellaneous items throughout the restaurant.
• Able to respond in emergency situations to avoid imminent dangers to self and others.

Physical Demands

• Regularly navigate throughout the restaurant and communicate with guests.
• Move and grasp items up to five pounds.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Bend and stoop.
• Adequate vision to discern cleanliness throughout the restaurant and operate a touchscreen.
