About the role
We're looking for experienced Servers to join our team and help us open our third US restaurant in Boston’s Fort Point neighborhood in fall 2026. Hawksmoor is a globally recognized, award-winning restaurant group with a commitment to sustainability, B-Corp values, and exceptional hospitality. Our new location will feature space for 200+ guests, private dining and event spaces, a James Beard-recognized bar program, sweeping views of Fort Point Channel, and an outdoor terrace.
Responsibilities
- Confidently manage all sections of the restaurant.
- Passionately recommend and describe all food and beverage offerings, including Hawksmoor beef, suppliers, and sourcing.
- Deliver Hawksmoor Steak Chat with confidence and authenticity.
- Provide tailored, thoughtful hospitality and expert service for both individual guests and larger groups, including private dining and events.
- Follow Hawksmoor Steps of Service and maintain consistent service standards.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of spirits, beers, cocktails, soft drinks, and menu storytelling.
- Maintain up-to-date menu knowledge and handle guest feedback, complaints, or quality issues professionally.
- Embody Hawksmoor values with a positive, proactive, and professional attitude.
- Support team members during service and contribute to a collaborative environment.
- Adhere to allergy awareness, cleanliness, and food safety procedures, including completing required training.
- Follow opening and closing checklists accurately.
- Manage time effectively to support team priorities and daily operational needs.
- Understand comps, promotions, and their impact on budgets and business performance.
- Use inclusive, respectful language and treat everyone with empathy and fairness.
- Actively support Hawksmoor’s sustainability goals, waste reduction, and recycling initiatives.
- Understand ingredient sourcing and the significance of Hawksmoor’s B Corporation certification.
Requirements
- Experience as a Server in a high-volume or fine-dining restaurant.
- Ability to move continuously around the dining room, kitchen, and bar areas during shifts.
- Occasionally lift and carry trays, plates, and items weighing up to ~25–30 lbs.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with guests, kitchen staff, and management.
- Ability to process guest requests, manage multiple tables simultaneously, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfort working in moderate to loud noise levels and a high-pressure, multi-tasking environment.
