About the role

Border Cafe in Saugus, MA is looking for a qualified Server to join our growing team to meet the demands of our fast-paced, fully operational, full-service restaurant. Border Cafe is a staple of the restaurant scene and has been recognized for multiple awards and recognition for quality in food and service.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service
• Greet customers and present menus
• Make suggestions based on their preferences
• Take and serve food/drinks orders
• Arrange table settings
• Keep tables clean and tidy at all times
• Deliver checks and collect payments
• Communicate with all serving and kitchen staff
• Adhere to all relevant health department rules/regulations and all customer service guidelines

Qualifications

• Experience as a Restaurant Server
• Experience with any ordering information system
• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
• Team player
• Good time-management skills
• Great interpersonal and communication skills
• Active listening
• Excellent physical condition
• Customer-centric
• High school diploma; food safety training will be considered a plus

Pay

$25 - $35 per hour, with supplemental pay in the form of tips.

Schedule

8 hour shift, with availability required for day shift, holidays, Monday to Friday, night shift, and weekend availability.
