Senior Web Designer

Responsibilities

• Design beautiful, performant site experiences – you must know how to create site experiences that preserve brand storytelling and adhere to best practices
• Conduct website audits and make recommendations using data (including heatmapping, customer behavior and analytics insights) and UX best practices
• Own complex digital products from strategy through execution, finding ways for our clients to create digital experiences that keep customers coming back for more
• Confidently facilitate discovery sessions, kickoff calls and rally project teams around big ideas (and nitty-gritty deliverables)
• Strong command of UX, UI and systems thinking – finding harmony in beauty, function and scale
• Thoughtfully communicate big ideas and raise the bar – both for our clients and our team
• Guide the design process – dig into requirements from stakeholders, lead the design process and prep it for development
• Drive key client presentations and discussions of your work
• Work with our Operations team to define project requirements + scope.
• Help promote an inspiring and inclusive environment alongside the rest of the team
• Ensure designs are pressure-tested for unique edge cases and that there are fewer unknowns in the development process

Requirements

• 5+ years of design experience either at a rapidly scaling direct-to-consumer brand or ecommerce-focused agency
• Demonstrated mastery of UI/UX principles, best practices, and common design tools (Figma preferred)
• Strong interaction and/or prototyping design skills
• Natural inclination to take the lead and help everyone arrive at a deeper understanding and greater appreciation of the work
• Fluency in translating stakeholder goals, user research, and requirements into exceptional design experiences
• Well-versed in staying ahead of desktop and mobile best practices, developments, and trends in web and mobile
• An understanding of what it means to balance best-practice recommendations with a site that's memorable and worthy of awards
