Responsibilities

  • Create and implement a forward-looking technology strategy that aligns with business objectives, driving sustainable growth and maintaining a competitive edge.
  • Design and manage a comprehensive technology roadmap that integrates new technologies, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Bring technology systems and infrastructure up-to-date to improve performance, security, and competitiveness across the organization.
  • Lead and mentor the technology team, cultivating a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous professional growth.
  • Work closely with the CEO and other executives to ensure technology initiatives are aligned with overall business strategies and goals and represent technology strategy and investment decisions to the Board of Directors.
  • Develop and enforce cybersecurity strategies, ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, and lead the organization’s response to technological risks.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and ensure SEMA remains at the forefront of technological advancements.
  • Implement and refine processes to enhance the efficiency of technology operations, establish and track key performance indicators, and oversee budget and resource allocation.
  • Ensure that technology solutions are designed to meet customer needs effectively and contribute to strengthening the SEMA’s market position and growth.
  • Own the integration and performance of SEMA's enterprise platform ecosystem, ensuring data flows coherently across systems to eliminate silos and support informed decision-making.
  • Manage the technology vendor portfolio with accountability, including contract oversight, performance management, and procurement decisions.

Requirements

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Business, or a related field. Equivalent experience with a strong track record in technology leadership is also considered.
  • Experience: 10+ years in technology leadership roles, with at least 5 years focused on innovation, emerging technologies, or digital transformation.
  • Experience: Work with other executives and stakeholders to align technology initiatives with business objectives.
  • Experience: Experience in both B2B and B2C environments, demonstrating the ability to leverage technology to meet diverse market needs.
  • Skills: Extensive experience with machine learning, cloud computing, and data analytics.
  • Skills: In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity practices is essential.
  • Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a technology team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
