Senior Underwriter, Professional Liability / Cyber, National Accounts, Financial Lines

About the role

This role offers the opportunity to drive profitable growth in Professional Liability/Cyber, Financial Lines by working on complex risks. You will be responsible for underwriting a range of new and renewal business, communicating risk appetite and value propositions to brokers, negotiating pricing, terms, and conditions, and generating new business by expanding your broker network.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite a range of new and renewal business in Professional Liability/Cyber, Financial Lines
• Communicate risk appetite and value propositions to brokers
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with brokers and clients
• Expand your broker network and attend broker events
• Collaborate with AIG Distribution, territory managers, and underwriters in other business lines to target desirable accounts and cross-sell opportunities
• Provide high standards of customer service to brokers and clients
• Mentor and train less-experienced underwriters

Requirements

• Proven underwriting experience with good knowledge of Professional Liability/Cyber, Financial Lines
• The ability to analyze financial statements
• Strong communication, networking, and relationship building skills
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Customer and sales-oriented behaviors: motivated, tenacious, focused, technically skilled, proactive, and accountable

Qualifications

• An interest in mentoring and training if not previously held

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $108,000-$128,000, and the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.

Schedule

We are primarily in the office, fostering an effective and supportive work environment.
