Responsibilities
- Serve as the single focal point to support and communicate to stakeholders the requirements of Consultant Services Unit (CSU) mandated programs as obligated by state or federal laws, regulations, executive orders, and departmental policies.
- Track and monitor expenditures for the X32 activities within the Capital Outlay Support Program.
- Serve as the program manager of the District’s Architectural & Engineering (A&E) Mentor-Protégé Program (Calmentor) as mandated by Governor’s Executive Order S-11-06.
Requirements
- Possession of a valid driver’s license is required when operating a State-owned or leased vehicle.
- Appointment to Range D requires a valid Professional Engineering License (Civil) issued by the California Board of Registration for Professional Engineers. For all other ranges, a PE license is not required.
- Review the Minimum Qualifications (MQs) for this classification. If you meet MQs under Pattern II and require the TE Civil in-person written hurdle exam, do not take the TE Civil online exam prior to passing the written hurdle.
- Eligibility for hire may be determined by your score on the Transportation Engineer (Civil) exam. For those new to state civil service employment, you must be on the state examination list to be eligible.

Qualifications
In addition to the minimum qualifications, the following position-specific qualifications will be evaluated. Submit an up to two-page (size 12 font) Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) demonstrating the following:
- Demonstrated knowledge related to contract (Consultant or Contractor) management, including related education and training.
- Demonstrated ability to monitor/control contract performance, including quality of work, DVBE or DBE activities, and use of subcontractors and suppliers.
- Demonstrated ability to work with internal and external teams to deliver programs, projects, and/or products on time and within scope and budget.
- Demonstrated knowledge of project delivery and familiarity with PRSM, EFIS, and other PPM tools to forecast and provide detailed contract expenditures.
- Demonstrated broad spectrum of interpersonal communication skills necessary to work cooperatively with and build partnerships with internal and external customers.
- Demonstrated ability to assess and manage risks and propose appropriate courses of action to support the functional unit’s project delivery needs.

Pay
$11,437.00 - $14,315.00 per month. New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.
