SENIOR TRANSPORTATION ENGINEER, CALTRANS
Job Description and Duties
The Position involves planning, designing, and overseeing transportation projects. Responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing transportation plans and designs
- Assessing traffic flow and safety issues
- Coordinating with other departments and stakeholders
- Maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations
Minimum Requirements
Minimum requirements include:
- A Professional Engineer License
- A valid driver’s license
- A Statement of Qualifications (SOQ)
Special Requirements
Additional requirements include:
- A valid driver’s license is required when operating a State owned or leased vehicle.
- Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is required. Failure to submit a Statement of Qualifications will disqualify candidates from the hiring process.
Working Conditions
The position is located at 756 West Francisco Blvd., San Rafael, Marin County. Working conditions include:
- Climate-controlled office environment
- May require outdoor work and exposure to various weather conditions
- Overtime and night work may be required
- May be transferred to work at another construction field office or reassigned to work for another Supervising TE and/or a different project
