Position Details

The Project Coordinator for Emergency Projects is expected to act independently in pursuing specific tasks that will provide results toward general goals and objectives as provided by the Office Chief. The incumbent will be required to work overtime, work irregular shifts/alternate work schedules including nights, holidays, and weekends as needed; may be required to work temporary and/or intermittent varied work shifts and required to respond to emergency situations and calls.

When driving a state vehicle, a valid C driver's license is required.

Eligibility for hire may be determined by your score on the Sr. Transportation Engineer exam. For those who do not have current eligibility (e.g., transfer, permissive reinstatement, or voluntary demotions) and/or who will be new to state civil services employment, you must be on the state examination list to be eligible for these positions.

Special Requirements

The position(s) require(s) a(n) Civil Engineer Registration License. You will be required to provide a copy of your license prior to being hired.

Possession of a valid driver's license is required when operating a State owned or leased vehicle.

Statement of Qualifications (SOQ)

The Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) should address the following four questions separately and in order:

  • Describe your project management experience in the area of project delivery between project inception and construction.
  • Describe your experience collaborating with internal and external partners or stakeholders.
  • Describe your ability to lead a multi-disciplinary team, both in office and field.
  • Describe your knowledge and experience with project development, project management, and resource management.

SROA and Surplus candidates are given priority; therefore, individuals with other eligibility may be considered in the event no SROA or Surplus candidates apply.

Individuals who are eligible for a Training and Development assignment may also be considered for this position(s).
