Senior Testing Practitioner, QA & Testing Automation Practice

Founded by proven practitioners with banking and technology expertise, we are seeking a qualified Testing Practitioner with experience in creating and executing test cases, scripts, and scenarios for internal and customer-facing applications in the Financial Services industry.
You will be a critical team member ensuring artifacts, products, and services meet the highest quality standards and are ready for Go-Live. The ideal candidate is an experienced Tester and Testing Team Lead who can design and execute testing for both rapid and complex projects, use common tools (e.g., Selenium, DevOps, Test Case Management), and guide or collaborate with Testing Teams and Business SMEs to facilitate UAT phases.
Responsibilities
- Translate Business and Technical requirements (Epics and User Stories) into Test Cases and Test Scripts that demonstrate fulfillment of requirements and broader business expectations.
- Create testing scenarios that aggregate testing scripts in a logical sequence to observe business logic and data processing from component to component.
- Develop testing scripts and perform SIT Testing at the component level (SIT-1: direct interfaces and exchanges) and at the ecosystem level (SIT-2: indirect and downstream) to observe end-to-end behavior of the entire solution.
- Capture errors, defects, and abnormal behaviors in a Testing Issue Log or similar tool; troubleshoot issues or escalate to Build teams for corrective actions.
- Evaluate software application capabilities, performance, dependability, and predictability through Performance, Load, and Stress testing, including benchmarking standalone versus integrated performance of components (e.g., APIs).
- Verify that testing is effective and provides meaningful validation of quality and fitness.
- Orchestrate UAT testing between testing teams and associated partners (functional leaders, stakeholders, third parties, users).
- Coordinate and define the UAT approach, train and coach Users on UAT protocols, and provide infrastructure and support for UAT.
General Activities
- Participate in meetings, proposal development, and other efforts related to Testing, Testing Automation, and Quality Assurance.
- Contribute to the development of a world-class Testing and QA Practice, including advanced automation of testing tools and discipline.
- Collaborate with colleagues and other practices to expand, share, and promote Testing Knowledge inside and outside the QA Testing Automation Practice.
- Increase own competencies and skills through training, certifications, and other means to expand knowledge and experience.
- Ensure new team members are onboarded, integrated, and engaged with Testing and other teams to deliver value.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent).
- Good understanding of project/program management, data and workflow integrations with third parties, and the complexity of business application testing and acceptance.
- 3+ years of relevant work experience as a testing practitioner.
- Familiarity with web design, UI, CX, and workflow management.
- Experience with testing and test case management platforms/tools (e.g., Selenium, PractiTest, LoadRunner) and automation/obfuscation/anonymization tools.
- Operational fluency with DevOps, CI/CD, and standard project management software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Drive, videoconferencing, and chat tools.
- Attention to detail, critical thinking, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently with self-motivation; driven by challenges and motivated by achievement in the face of obstacles.
- Effective communication and interaction skills; positive team spirit.
