Senior Technical Recruiter

Envisioneering, Inc. is a small business with 35 years of experience dedicated to mission support and technology development for US national defense. Our employees work closely with government customers at the Office of Naval Research, Naval Research Laboratory, PEO IWS, DARPA, and the Strategic Capabilities Office. We help customers design, develop, integrate, and test advanced technologies and transition them to operating forces.
The Senior Technical Recruiter will support continual growth by attracting, evaluating, and referring candidates whose experience aligns with the requirements of our technical positions. This on-site role involves promoting our brand and collaborating directly with Senior Management and service-line Hiring Managers to understand their talent needs.
Responsibilities
- Proactively build a network of active and passive candidates; conduct initial phone screens and face-to-face interviews.
- Assess candidate qualifications through resume reviews, interviews, and other communications.
- Work closely with senior management and Hiring Managers to fulfill technical talent requirements in a timely manner.
- Coordinate candidate interviews with Hiring Managers and maintain contact with the talent pipeline.
- Facilitate industry contacts by creating and maintaining a presence in relevant technical areas of the Defense community and marketplace.
- Attend job fairs and industry conferences; staff the company booth at events.
- Develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of project needs.
- Document and track activity in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
- Assist with the development and revision of job descriptions for technical positions.
Requirements
- 7+ years of Technical Recruiting experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry.
- Prior experience supporting one of the following technical disciplines is desired: Research & Development (R&D), Science & Technology (S&T), Test & Engineering (T&E), or Electronic Warfare (EW) applications.
- Must be highly motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team on-site at our Alexandria, VA headquarters; occasional remote work flexibility is available.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Thorough understanding of recruiting methods and applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Experience with applicant tracking systems is helpful.
- Ability to prioritize workload.
- DoD Secret Clearance is desired.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or specialized training, preferably in a technical field, is a plus. Equivalent experience may substitute for an academic degree.
Pay
Approximate salary range: $89,000 – $114,000 per year.
