About the role

The AI and Infrastructure team is redefining what’s possible by delivering AI and infrastructure at unparalleled scale, efficiency, reliability, and velocity. This role leads complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects, managing requirements, schedules, risks, and stakeholder communications. The team’s mission is to optimize global operations of assets and tooling, ensuring reliability and cost-effectiveness at scale. Key focus areas include financial reporting, unit-rate calculations, spend economics, contract processing, payments, and oversight of Google’s tooling strategy for infrastructure assets such as land, energy, and network.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the roadmap and strategy for Google’s portfolio of first-party tools supporting the asset and infrastructure layer, including resource allocation.
• Lead a governance structure that drives executive decision-making via a digital assets council and manage internal communications with first-party customers.
• Manage the portfolio of software and tooling programs, prioritizing work, allocating resources, and ensuring metrics and personnel are in place to drive high performance and organizational impact.
• Identify and implement change management opportunities to increase program velocity and overall impact across multiple teams.
• Use AI to drive productivity, creativity, and innovation across the team, fostering conditions for continuous experimentation and learning.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience in program management.
• 7 years of experience in a leadership role with direct reports.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience managing cross-functional or multi-team projects.
• Knowledge of technical principles including programming languages, data structures, and debugging.
• Experience in information technology, software, and digital asset development.
• Ability to define structural logic and balance technical trade-offs (e.g., performance, reliability, cost).
• Ability to drive results across an organization and build capabilities at various team levels.

Pay

US: $240,000 - $334,000 (USD) + 25% bonus target + equity + benefits.
