Senior Technical Lead

What Work You Will Be Responsible For

• Work on multiple clients using multi-faceted technologies.
• Plan, organize, control, test, and review projects, aligning with users' needs and functionalities.
• Handle business-critical IT tasks, systems administration, and escalate issues for team members.
• Provide remote and onsite support for client computing and networking infrastructures.
• Identify and research possible solutions for identified problems.
• Resolve level 2 and level 3 escalation tickets, such as firewall configuration, advanced network troubleshooting, and server management.
• Prepare cost-benefit analysis reports for upgrades, continuously analyzing vendors for the best service and value.
• Use MS Office 365 applications for setup, security, and maintenance.
• Interact with clients at various levels to understand technology needs, find solutions, and support them.
• Experience in project planning and client support/development.
• Familiarity with documenting systems and setting up client technology architectures.
• Research and identify technology solutions to software, hardware, and network issues.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, including account setup and network configurations.
• Track computer system or network issues through resolution within agreed timelines.
• Prioritize and manage several open issues simultaneously and provide assistance.
• Avoidance of technical issues through disaster procedures and maintaining data backups.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
• An associate's degree or vocational degree may also be considered.
• Experience as a consultant via an MSP or similar consulting organization.
• 7+ years of work experience supporting servers, storage, networking, and security of networks.
• Microsoft certifications are a plus.

Preferred/Desired Qualifications

• Experience with Active Directory, Office 365, and Microsoft Azure.
• General knowledge and experience with firewalls, routers, wireless networks, and security.
• Excellent communication skills to explain technical ideas in simple terms.
• Knowledge of productivity applications and networking under Microsoft Windows and Mac OS.
• A working knowledge of networking concepts.
• Experience with WatchGuard, Fortinet, Sophos, Palo Alto Firewalls.
• Familiarity with server virtualization technologies (HyperV, Scale, Citrix, and others).
• The ability to adapt and learn new technologies quickly.
• Experience with ConnectWise.
