About the company

BJAK was founded in 2019 with the mission to provide smarter ways for people to plan, save, and grow their money. Starting as the first mobile-first insurance platform in Southeast Asia, we’ve become the leading insurance platform in the region. Today, we’re expanding to help people with spending, saving, investing, exchanging, traveling, and more—helping them get more from their money every day.

Our team spans the globe, with over 20 nationalities working from offices and remotely. We’re looking for passionate, driven individuals who love building next-generation products, redefining financial applications for everyone—not just an exclusive few.

About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist to lead hiring across multiple functions and regions as BJAK scales globally. Speed in hiring sets the pace for everything else—how quickly we build the team determines how quickly we move. You’ll own the full recruitment cycle for multiple roles at once, closing them in weeks rather than months. Coordinators and assessors will support individual steps, but the outcome is yours.

Responsibilities

  • Run recruitment end-to-end for assigned roles.
  • Take clear briefs from hiring managers and push back when profiles don’t match the market.
  • Source and screen candidates directly through LinkedIn Recruiter, referrals, job boards, and outreach—both inbound and outbound matter.
  • Map the market and build pipelines before roles open.
  • Maintain an accurate ATS and provide hiring managers with transparent updates on role progress.
  • Manage interviews and scheduling to ensure candidates experience a fast, clear process.
  • Continuously improve hiring processes, screening quality, and employer branding.

Requirements

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in talent acquisition, whether in-house, agency, executive search, or staffing.
  • Proven ability to run multiple roles in parallel against deadlines, not one at a time.
  • Strong sourcing skills—you can find people who aren’t actively looking.
  • Speed driven by process efficiency, not long hours.
  • Experience hiring across multiple functions, including corporate and tech roles.
  • Ability to assess candidates effectively and defend decisions to skeptical hiring managers.
  • Startup, high-growth, or agency experience preferred; slow environments won’t suit you.
  • Fluency in English is required. Additional languages like Mandarin, Bahasa Indonesia, Thai, or Japanese are an advantage.

What success looks like

  • Your roles close on time, and hiring managers always know the status without asking.
  • Every role you run attracts strong volume because you treat job posts as something to test and improve, not just publish once.
  • Shortlists hold up—hiring managers interview the candidates you send and rarely ask for replacements.
  • Candidates move through the process quickly, with no delays on your end.
  • Offers get accepted, not just issued.
  • Hiring processes improve over time because of changes you implement.

Benefits

  • Above-market remuneration.
  • Fast-track career growth and development opportunities.
  • Exposure to international hiring across multiple markets and functions.
  • Opportunity to work directly with experienced recruiters and business leaders.
  • High ownership, autonomy, and responsibility from day one.
  • Flat organization where ideas and execution matter more than titles.
  • Meaningful work that directly contributes to the growth and success of the business.
