Senior Systems Specialist

About the role

This position involves system administration, user administration, user assistance, file transfers, backups, laptop control, printouts, Sudo, NMCI pre-support (to validate issue is actually NMCI), and documentation creation/updates. It also requires communication skills and the ability to work independently under limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Manage print-outs and filing paperwork
• Create and edit business documentation
• Perform administrative tasks such as managing print-outs, filing paperwork, creation and editing of business documentation
• Perform basic IT functions including user account creation, password resets, file permissions changes, user assistance, file transfers, monitoring backups, handling IT hardware
• Communicate effectively both written and verbally
• Work independently under limited supervision
• Validate issues as NMCI pre-support
• Create and update documentation

Requirements

• IAT Level 2 certification (both IA and Windows OS certifications)
• Five (5) years of specialized experience in the operation and maintenance of the equipment that comprises the A Department
• Demonstrated ability to perform administrative tasks such as managing print-outs, filing paperwork, creation and editing of business documentation
• Demonstrated experience performing basic IT functions such as user account creation, password resets, file permissions changes, user assistance, file transfers, monitoring backups, handling IT hardware
• Active Secret clearance with eligibility for Top Secret clearance
• Anticipated salary range: $80,000 to $85,000
