Senior Statistical Programmer

About the role

The Senior Statistical Programmer develops, tests, maintains, validates, and documents data analysis programs that generate analysis datasets, tables, figures, and listings for clinical trials, regulatory submissions, and ad hoc project support. This role supports the full execution of final production output for statistical reports, CSRs, publications, and market promotions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the integrity of programming/computing solutions for all assigned projects.
• Lead the execution of quality, timely programming deliverables for statistical reports, clinical study reports (CSRs), regulatory submissions, publications, and market promotions.
• Generate analysis datasets, tables, figures, and listings for clinical trials, regulatory submissions, and ad hoc requests (e.g., publications and market promotions).
• Provide programming support for supplemental or exploratory analyses for regulatory agencies or internal/external ad hoc requests.
• Ensure QC compliance, audit readiness, and archiving of programming and associated documentation.
• Establish and maintain libraries of clear, fully documented, and validated programs/macros for reuse.
• Identify and implement process improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and maintain strong working relationships.

Qualifications

• Ability to program, document, and validate statistical software code in at least one statistical programming language (e.g., R or SAS).
• 3+ years of relevant programming experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Life Sciences, or related field, or 1+ years with a Master’s degree.
• Demonstrated competence in statistical programming techniques for clinical trials and regulatory submissions.
• Good understanding of regulatory requirements (e.g., GCP, ICH).
• Basic understanding of statistical principles and analysis plans.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to recommend solutions for complex issues.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and identify process improvement opportunities.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, with critical cross-functional collaboration and negotiation abilities.

This role requires a minimum of 4 days of in-office presence per week in Franklin Lakes, NJ. Employment is contingent upon proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or accommodation under applicable law.

Pay

$110,200.00 - $176,400.00 USD Annual
