Senior Statistical Programmer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Statistical Programmer to develop, test, maintain, validate, and document data analysis programs that generate analysis datasets, tables, figures, and listings for clinical trials, regulatory submissions, and ad hoc project support. The role involves ensuring the integrity of programming solutions, supporting the execution of final production output, and maintaining compliance with quality and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain programming solutions for analysis datasets, tables, figures, and listings for clinical trials, regulatory submissions, and ad hoc requests (e.g., publications and market promotions).
• Support and lead the full execution of final production output generation for statistical reports, Clinical Study Reports (CSRs), regulatory submissions, publications, and market promotions.
• Provide programming support for supplemental or exploratory analyses for regulatory agencies or internal/external ad hoc requests.
• Ensure QC compliance and maintain program records, including archiving of programming and associated documentation, to ensure audit readiness.
• Establish and maintain libraries of clear, fully documented, and validated programs/macros for reuse.
• Identify and implement process improvement initiatives within the function or across related functions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and recommend solutions for complex or ambiguous problems.
• Lead ad hoc teams to address and resolve programming or analytical challenges.

Requirements

• Ability to program, document, and validate statistical software code in at least one statistical programming language, such as R or SAS.
• 3+ years of relevant programming experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or Life Sciences, or 1+ years of experience with a Master’s degree in the same fields.
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Life Sciences, or a related field. Equivalent education or experience will be considered.
• Demonstrated competence in statistical programming techniques used in clinical trials and regulatory submissions.
• Good understanding of regulatory requirements relevant to statistical programming (e.g., GCP, ICH).
• Basic understanding of statistical principles and analysis plans.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to recognize and address potential issues proactively.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and manage time effectively.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, with a focus on cross-functional collaboration, listening, and negotiation.

Pay

Salary range: $110,200.00 - $176,400.00 USD annually.

Schedule

This role requires a minimum of 4 days of in-office presence per week to maintain collaboration and innovation. Remote or field-based positions will have different workplace arrangements, as indicated in the job posting.
