Senior Statistical Programmer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Statistical Programmer to develop, test, maintain, validate, and document data analysis programs that generate analysis datasets, tables, figures, and listings for clinical trials, regulatory submissions, and ad hoc project support. The role involves supporting clinical trials of moderate scope and complexity and ensuring programming output is clear and actionable for critical business decisions.

This role requires a minimum of 4 days of in-office presence per week to foster collaboration, creativity, and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the integrity of programming and computing solutions for all assigned projects.
• Support and lead the execution of final production output for statistical reports, Clinical Study Reports (CSRs), regulatory submissions, publications, and market promotions.
• Generate analysis datasets, tables, figures, and listings for clinical trials, regulatory submissions, and ad hoc requests (e.g., publications and market promotions).
• Provide programming support for supplemental or exploratory analyses for regulatory agencies or internal/external ad hoc requests.
• Ensure QC compliance, program records, archiving, and audit readiness of programming deliverables.
• Establish and maintain libraries of clear, fully documented, and validated programs/macros for reuse.
• Identify and implement process improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain strong working relationships.

Qualifications

• Ability to program, document, and validate statistical software code in at least one statistical programming language, such as R or SAS.
• 3+ years of relevant programming experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or Life Sciences, or 1+ years with a Master’s degree in the same fields.
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Life Sciences, or a related field; equivalent education or experience will be considered.
• Demonstrated competence in statistical programming techniques used in clinical trials and regulatory submissions.
• Good understanding of regulatory requirements relevant to statistical programming (e.g., GCP, ICH).
• Basic understanding of statistical principles and analysis plans.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to recommend solutions for complex or ambiguous issues.
• Ability to identify and implement process improvements within or across functions.
• Demonstrated capability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, with a focus on cross-functional collaboration, listening, and negotiation.

Pay

Salary range: $110,200.00 - $176,400.00 USD annually, with an annual bonus opportunity. The salary offered is determined by role requirements, including skills, education, and applicable labor laws or Collective Bargaining Agreements.
