Senior Statistical Programmer
About the Role
As a Senior Statistical Programmer at BD, you will develop, test, maintain, validate, and document data analysis programs that generate analysis datasets, tables, figures, and listings for clinical trials, regulatory submissions, and ad hoc project support. You will ensure the integrity of programming solutions and support the full execution of production output for statistical reports, clinical study reports (CSRs), and other regulatory or promotional materials.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain programming solutions for assigned projects, ensuring integrity and compliance.
- Lead or support the generation of quality, timely programming deliverables for statistical reports, CSRs, regulatory submissions, publications, and market promotions.
- Create analysis datasets, tables, figures, and listings for clinical trials, regulatory submissions, and ad-hoc requests (e.g., publications, market promotions).
- Provide programming support for supplemental or exploratory analyses for regulatory agencies or internal/external ad-hoc requests.
- Ensure QC compliance, audit readiness, and proper archiving of programming and documentation.
- Establish and maintain libraries of fully documented and validated programs/macros for reuse.
- Identify and implement process improvement initiatives within or across functions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and support project goals.
- Maintain strong working relationships with other functional groups.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in at least one statistical programming language (e.g., R or SAS) with the ability to document and validate code.
- 3+ years of relevant programming experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Life Sciences, or a related field (or 1+ years with a Master’s degree).
- Demonstrated competence in statistical programming techniques for clinical trials and regulatory submissions.
- Good understanding of regulatory requirements (e.g., GCP, ICH).
- Basic knowledge of statistical principles and analysis plans.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to recommend solutions for complex issues.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and identify process improvement opportunities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal and collaboration abilities.
This role requires a minimum of 4 days per week of in-office presence in Franklin Lakes, NJ. For certain roles, employment is contingent upon proof of full COVID-19 vaccination, with accommodations considered pursuant to applicable law.

Pay
Salary range: $110,200.00 – $176,400.00 USD annually, with a competitive compensation package and annual bonus.
Schedule
This role requires a minimum of 4 days per week of in-office presence in Franklin Lakes, NJ.
