Senior Statistical Programmer

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Statistical Programmer to develop, test, maintain, validate, and document data analysis programs that generate analysis datasets, tables, figures, and listings for clinical trials, regulatory submissions, and ad hoc project support. This role involves ensuring the integrity of programming solutions, supporting the execution of final production output, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain programming solutions for analysis datasets, tables, figures, and listings for clinical trials, regulatory submissions, and ad hoc requests.
• Support and lead the full execution of final production output for statistical reports, Clinical Study Reports (CSRs), regulatory submissions, publications, and market promotions.
• Provide programming support for supplemental or exploratory analyses for regulatory agencies or internal/external ad hoc requests.
• Ensure quality control (QC) compliance and maintain program records, including archiving of programming and associated documentation.
• Establish and maintain libraries of clear, fully documented, and validated programs/macros for reuse.
• Identify and implement process improvement initiatives within the function or across related functions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and support project goals.
• Ensure audit readiness of all programming deliverables.

Qualifications

• Ability to program, document, and validate statistical software code in at least one statistical programming language, such as R or SAS.
• 3+ years of relevant programming experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or Life Sciences, or 1+ years of experience with a Master’s degree in the same fields.
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Life Sciences, or a related field; equivalent education or experience will be considered.
• Demonstrated competence in statistical programming techniques used in clinical trials and regulatory submissions.
• Good understanding of regulatory requirements relevant to statistical programming (e.g., GCP, ICH).
• Basic understanding of statistical principles and analysis plans.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to recommend solutions for complex or ambiguous issues.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and identify process improvement opportunities.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, with a focus on cross-functional collaboration, listening, and negotiation.

Schedule

This role requires a minimum of 4 days of in-office presence per week to foster collaboration, creativity, and innovation. Remote or field-based positions will have different workplace arrangements as specified in the job posting.

Pay

Salary range: $110,200.00 - $176,400.00 USD annually.
