About the role
This Senior Specialist position is located in Lake Mary, FL, with an in-office requirement of four days per week. You will oversee quality control, work allocation, and workflow for a Middle Office team and outsourced functions in accordance with SLD.
Responsibilities
- Review and approve work conducted by junior team members in line with function policies and procedures.
- Perform analysis and research on complex transactions, identifying solutions to intricate inquiries.
- Serve as a subject matter expert, conducting research on multi-faceted transactions and providing answers to escalated complex inquiries.
- Maintain and facilitate trade static data, trade enrichment, trade exception handling, and market claims.
- Handle complex reconciliations analysis (cash, asset, trade matching, market value), break assignment, resolution of reconciliation breaks, and trade fails.
- Participate in monthly end-client statement workflow, ad hoc reporting, and incident management.
- Identify, resolve, and escalate issues affecting the accuracy of the Investment Book of Record (IBOR).
- Provide guidance to less experienced team members and act as a subject matter expert within incident management.
- Exercise judgment and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve reconciliations for complex or atypical transactions.
- Review and approve work of junior team members.
- Interact with clients to answer questions and resolve multifaceted inquiries for complex transactions.
- Contribute to the achievement of team objectives without direct reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- 5-7 years of total relevant work experience preferred.
- Experience in middle office operations, trade support, reconciliations, or related financial services functions preferred.
- Experience analyzing and resolving complex transactions, reconciliation breaks, trade fails, or similar operational issues preferred.
- Experience working with internal and external stakeholders and responding to complex client inquiries preferred.
