Senior Specialist, Middle Office Team Lead

About the role

Serves as team supervisor/manager for day-to-day operations of a medium to large-sized Middle Office support team.
Manages daily activities for a Middle Office support team servicing multiple funds and aligns team resources to complete daily tasks.
Oversees review of data, issue escalations, and complex matters; acts as the first line supervisor for task assignment and issue resolution.
Directs, motivates, and develops staff while ensuring work quality, compliance with service level agreements, and proper review/documentation of work.
Provides oversight on review of exceptions, manages escalation and correction of errors, and resolves complex escalated issues.
Provides product knowledge and technical assistance on moderately complex problems and serves as the team’s initial escalation point.
Prepares performance reviews, provides ongoing feedback, and helps develop team objectives.

Requirements

  • High school/secondary school or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
  • Mutual fund industry background is preferred.
  • 5–7 years of technical and/or supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Experience in accounting support or the mutual fund industry is preferred.
