About the role

The Middle Office Senior Specialist supports our Investment teams by executing a robust trade capture, monitoring, settlement, and risk-mitigation framework. This role partners closely with trading, portfolio managers, technology, compliance, legal, and external vendors. In Atlanta, you’ll be part of a growing financial hub with strong ties to global markets, exchanges, and FinTech innovators.

Responsibilities

  • Support Front Office and Investment teams across all Fixed Income, Equity, and Alternative products.
  • Execute accurate trade capture for complex instruments and review reconciliations to ensure data integrity.
  • Coordinate securities transfers and ensure timely, accurate settlement across custodians and agents.
  • Resolve complex trade breaks and manage full lifecycle events across asset classes.
  • Lead onboarding for new clients, strategies, and asset types.
  • Improve downstream data quality for settlements, corporate actions, and lifecycle processing.
  • Oversee vendor performance and key middle-office functions.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to reduce operational risk.
  • Manage daily oversight of our back-office provider, ensuring trade flow accuracy and timely reconciliation.
  • Oversee industry event processing for Investment Accounting.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams, custodians, and external partners.
  • Provide day-to-day support to Traders and Portfolio Managers in a fast-moving environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or equivalent experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience in Middle Office, Derivatives Middle Office, or Investment Accounting.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled tools — Experience using or willingness to adopt AI-driven workflow, analytics, or reconciliation tools to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and decision support.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize independently in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Bloomberg, Tradeweb, MarketAxess, BlackRock Aladdin, and BNYM NEXEN.
  • Strong Excel and general technology aptitude; experience with workflow automation or process optimization is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Fixed Income, Equities, and Alternative Assets.

Location & Work Style

This role is based in Atlanta, GA, with a hybrid work model designed to support collaboration and work-life balance.

Pay

The annual base salary range for this position is $76,000 to $95,000 USD. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements, and/or skill level.
